Mickey and Minnie's Birthday
Today marks the 82nd birthday of Minnie Mouse and Mickey Mouse. Why guests thought I was pulling their leg and why guests thought I was making a joke when I would tell them, I have no idea. At least some of them got excited when I told them that.

breaker four
I worked breaker for the first time today, it was a lot of fun! It was nice to not be in one spot but get a change in perspective. Mickey and his friends were great and I even got to go break a princess fanfare and see my best friend, princess jasmine! Nothing really out of the ordinary happened, just a good day at work, with the exception of my football fantasy team getting destroyed. And it's the birthday of little miss Alice, Aka breanne, today! Turned in my hopefully graduation speech for college program, and had a great day! Yay!

My Guest Family
Three days ago (technically four, since it's 6 am) - I met a family who was bringing their grandchildren to Disneyland, a husband and wife, their son and daughter, and their daughter's two children. Three boys, three girls, all ages. The son, about thirty five years old, only had a right arm.
I met this family at Ariel's bridge and ran into them at Cars and again at the view. Every time I met them they made me smile, they even told the front gate that they knew me and thought that the front gate called me to make sure that they got through the gate alright.
They make me smile. :)

August 18
As I reflect back, I realize I am three days from halfway through my internship and I am just now getting around to writing about the beginning of my internship.
On August 18th at 8 am, there was a very long line in front of Carnegie Plaza full of parents, family, friends, and college program students (later to be more fondly known as "CPs"). We filled out paperwork, more paperwork, and then more paperwork, and receiving tons of literature to read, as well.
When I moved into apartment 420, there was only one person who was there before me, though she wasn't in the room. I plopped my stuff down in the bed next to hers (of course I was going to take the double bedroom with the bathroom inside), which left the triple with the bunk and windows for walls left to be occupied. As we worked through the chaos known as 250 people (plus their trust siblings, friends, and parents) moving into an apartment building with no units on the ground level and only two elevators and two flights of stairs, we eventually got a full house. Tricia, from Texas, rooming with me, while Jena from Cal Poly and Erin & Nickole (best friends since kindergarten) from Napa, occupied the triple.
After getting as settled in as we could for the day, we set out for food (at around 11 pm)...we discovered that right by our apartment building was an Indian restaurant, an Italian restaurant, a doughnut shop, a Starbucks, a Subway, a Vons, a nail salon, a CVS, a burger king, a Japanese restaurant, a Filipino restaurant, a Mexican restaurant, a flatbread sandwich & pizza place, a frozen yogurt place, a fed ex kinkos, and a teriyaki bowl restaurant called flamebroiler all right next to our apartment....and we also have a weekly local craft fair and farmers market every Thursday...so basically, we discovered we have a lot of options.
It was the beginning of an adventurous journey...

CHOC walk 2010
My family and I got up to walk the 2010 CHOC (children's hospital of orange county) walk in the park after a night full of stories and heart to hearts in the hotel room. Disney matched $25 to our donations, and CHOC is near and dear to my heart because they took care of my brother when he was younger. There were fireworks and characters and so much fun. After the walk we went to company D and ate at Panera at the Village at Orange. CHOC was an awesome experience, but I think it will all be best experienced through pictures.

Sorry for the slow down in updates, again. I worked about 11 hours at Pixie Hollow on Sunday, my last day of work before my "weekend," and so I've been a little tuckered out. Here are updates to come:
